building great harvest next though toward year
The thing I'm doing is building toward next year and the years that will follow. We've had a great run, even though this may not be a year of harvest for that.
anybody chrysler extent general healthy investment involved series toyota willing wind
Right now we have a healthy series with Ford, Chrysler and General Motors involved. And it can be healthy with Toyota involved as well, as long as we don't wind up discouraging or rendering uncompetitive anybody else to the extent they will not be willing to make their investment for what they get.
behind maybe nascar scenes trying ways win
The (WWE) has its ways of determining who is going to win and maybe NASCAR behind the scenes is trying to do the same thing. I take it personally. I do take it personally.
bring contract cup drivers extended garage helped hold matt pleased special talented
We are very pleased that Matt extended his contract with Roush Racing. Matt is one of the most talented drivers in the garage and he'll always hold a special place in our organization, having helped to bring us our first Cup championship in 2003.

We are very pleased that Matt extended his contract with Roush Racing last fall. Matt is one of the most talented drivers in the garage and he'll always hold a special place in our organization, having helped to bring us our first Cup championship in 2003. It's very assuring knowing that he will be staying on with us and I know that the first goal on his agenda is to take that championship trophy back.

based carrying certainly gone justified normally otherwise public racing required revolution series technology truck
They've got a different way of racing than what we've normally had. The truck series has gone through a revolution of carrying in technology that otherwise wasn't required and certainly not justified based on the public sponsorships.
brought starting time
They've brought it out just at a time when we were starting our Chase,

cars economy generate good hard money programs research step
There will be Busch programs that can step up to Cup. The economy has made it hard to generate the money and all the research has made it more sophisticated. Forty-three cars to me is a good number, but 33 would be good, too.
third time tried week
This is the third time this week you've tried to get my goat,
based broad charge close drivers ford friday gave good great last leading mark martin package race resources three truck weekend win year
This is really a great weekend to be able to have three of our different drivers win all three races, especially that truck race on Friday night. That's the one that we couldn't get close to last year based on where our truck was, but Ford gave us a new F-150 package and Mark Martin is leading the charge on that deal. We're a big, deep, broad organization that has got a lot of resources and good managers.
appear hoped mark sure
Some things didn't appear to be working out like we'd hoped and I told Mark we could sure use him.
cup front hope justify name nascar operated order owners problems program series teams truck work
They operated their truck teams as one program and made the team owners just name owners only in order to justify what they were doing. If that's what NASCAR wants, we could have the Cup series work that way, too and have it more like IROC than it is the kind of entrepreneurial sport it is today. But I don't think that's where it will go. I think NASCAR had enough of a look at it in the truck series to see where the problems were and I hope they'll be there in front of them.
