avoided break crash fact flat happen matt stayed tire top
The fact that Matt didn't have a flat tire and he didn't break anything, and Carl narrowly avoided a crash that would have been a disaster, was great. The litany of things that can happen and didn't, that can get on top of you, they stayed away from us tonight.

best excited large margin trade year
We're real excited about 2006. 2005 was by a large, large margin the best year I've ever had in this business. I wouldn't trade any of the years that preceded it.
contention great hour man pat tires
Pat was the man of the hour today. Pat was able to put him in contention with two tires and had it where it would work. So the tires did a great job.
comfort engines expect fan gear pushing stopped zone
I was not a fan of NASCAR's gear rule, but it has stopped us all from pushing the RPM envelope. We are really in a comfort zone now where we expect the engines to finish.
capable five given shape
Well, I'm in better shape with five than I would be with one, ... We've got five capable and able drivers. On any given day, they've all demonstrated they can win.
body distance enforce far front manages nascar safe toyota watch
If NASCAR manages to get in front of Toyota and tell them what they want to do and enforce it, they'll be the first sanctioning body that ever did that. I'll watch with some interest, I'd like to say from a safe distance, but my distance is not far enough to be safe.
challenge close everybody intention letting moved paid sooner watched
I have no such intention (of letting him out of his deal). Kurt's been a challenge for everybody that watched a race, for everybody that's moved up close to him and paid attention. He's been a challenge to a lot of us, and for me that's going to end sooner or later.
business cars charlotte chiefs city crew definitely desperate happened judgments kansas mark martin racing reflected teams trouble
If Roush Racing (or) if Mark Martin can't do his business at Kansas City or Charlotte or Atlanta, then we're in desperate trouble and definitely not on our game, ... What happened here is reflected in that the cars were well-driven, they were well-prepared by hardworking teams and the judgments that the crew chiefs made were excellent.
ask borderline financial given guys insane jumping nascar owning risks rusty team wallace
If owning a NASCAR team is so great, then ask Rusty Wallace and some of these other guys why they're not jumping in the water. Because you have to be borderline insane to want to do this, given the financial risks involved.
chances horse next races thinking three turned written
I had all but written off our chances to get in three races ago. I was thinking 'building to next year' all the way. But they've got it turned around now. It's going to be a horse race.
anybody basically commented dealing dilemma kept kurt outside press relates release track
I don't know if anybody has read or kept track of my interviews, but I basically haven't commented on anything outside of our press release as it relates to Kurt and the dilemma that we've got in dealing with that situation,
bad excited final five good group luck prospect sure surprised taking
I'm really excited about the prospect of taking this group of five to the final 10 races. I'm sure we've got some bad luck coming. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't have to give back some of the good luck.
