You can see right away that he's going to be a player, because he's already a player. He's got that focus and determination you've got to have, and he's got more than enough ability. It's just a matter of time before he's a star.
I thought we were having a contest on who could get to 50 first.
We play good defensively for 14 seconds, and that other 10 seconds, we slip. The shot clock comes down, we don't get a rebound or we don't get help. Just little things we're not doing that we need to get back to if we want to be a good team and we want to win games.
I was always getting the short end of the stick.
I fully understand the seriousness of the implications and I accept the penalty imposed by the commissioner. I'm glad to have these issues addressed and behind me.
It was a very important (game). They've got the eighth spot that we want. They came in here, played hard and they won the game.
I'm glad (Allen) wasn't in the lineup, that makes my job easier. It makes the team's job easier to go out there playing ball, so anytime you get a guy down like that, you've got to take advantage of it.
I'm not going to let anybody come and take my spot. He's going to come in and challenge me? Yeah, you challenge. But nobody's going to take my spot.
It's something I definitely need to get better at. Instead of taking my time, making the right decision, I've predetermined what I'm going to do in my head. Can't be like that.
It is do or die. The season is coming to an end. We still have an opportunity. It has to be a big trip for us.
I don't think we have that killer instinct mode. When we have teams down by 10, 15 we've got them on the ropes. We let them stay in the fight instead of knocking them out. We have to act like pit bulls. We have to keep swinging. We have to go for that killer punch.
When are you going to buy us a suit? ... You've got nine years in the league, that's a vet move.
He had a good game. I had a good game. But he had a better game than I did, and they won.
I mean, he's been in the league nine years and he's never had it before where a point guard can pass the ball like that.
