Jay McKee
Jay McKeeis a retired ice hockey defenceman. He last played for the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League, and was previously with the Buffalo Sabres and the St. Louis Blues. Throughout his career he has been noted among the NHL's best shot-blockers. He later served as an assistant coach for the Rochester Americans. That's something new. It was rewarding that once we got the lead we didn't sit back. We kept pushing forward. In the past we've been sitting back and letting teams get that extra goal.

At the same time, while I was hoping to get a term deal and didn't, there's are some positives with that, too. If I don't renegotiate with Buffalo during the season, then I'll hit the open market. At the end of the tunnel is unrestricted free agency, and that's something every player looks forward to. That could be a very exciting time.

I think Brian did a great job. A big part of us winning like we did was because they were sidetracked with still thinking about that hit. If we can use that to our advantage, we will.

Our record is 44-19 for a good reason. We have a team in here that can play and can play with a record like that. It's a matter of believing in each other and going out and executing.
