The Navy views this as an outrageous criminal act that is taken very seriously.
It's intense pressure. The Chase has created a whole different aspect of pressure and how you look at the season.
It's intense pressure going into one single race. We've been in pressure situations before. I know there is a reason and who knows - we might find out why on (Saturday) it was meant to be or not meant to be.
It was a hell of a night. It's just one of those nights. You'll have those good nights when things will happen. We thought we had it at one time. I don't know if we just got a bad set of tires, over-adjusted or what. We were really looking good and then things just went backwards. We struggled back and forth all night.
It was more to get ready for this year. We had new people on board and we tried to build some momentum. We can't really jump to many conclusions here.
I'm going to put the blame on both of us there. I dove underneath and got a little tight, and he didn't want to give it up, either.
I'm going to take part blame on that, but I think Tony needs to take part of it as well.
I'm not blaming anybody, but the overall performance was lacking. We were qualifying poorly and that put us back in the field where we keep getting caught up in trouble. A lot of awkward things kept happening.
It's still a game of Russian Roulette. There are so many cars fighting for the same piece of real estate that it's easy to get caught up in someone else's accident.
It's not as bad as it used to be in Turn 4, but Turn 2 is pretty extreme. The way you come off the corner, you've got nice banking but then it really flattens off. ...It just makes your car want to drift to the wall. That makes it really difficult to get side-by-side.
Starting up front here is definitely an advantage. It allows you to be patient in dealing with the traffic. And traffic is something you can't get away from here. It always seems like there are 42 cars right behind you and another 42 cars right in front of you.
I really don't care where we end up in points now. It's all about getting ourselves in position to get things turned around so we can go into next season and challenge for the championship.
I would love to see Jimmie get in position where I could get behind him and help him all I can. I am going to work as hard as I can to get myself into that position. He certainly has helped me plenty of times, and I want those guys to win the championship and I'm going to do everything that I can to help them.
There aren't any issues other than it's just really, really fast. We're trying to push the limits of the car and the tires.
