almost believe die establish natural rookie starting sure time until whatever year
It's kind of a natural progression. The guy's got the stuff. He's starting to believe in himself, too. The first time up -- rookie year or whatever -- until you establish yourself, you're never sure if you belong. You feel like you almost live and die with every outing.
anyone confidence knows win
He's confident. He's got as much confidence as anyone out there. He knows how to win. It comes down to that. He knows how to win, and we win when he's pitching.
certain couple games hundred pitches stop win
You win a couple hundred games because you make pitches at certain times that stop damage. That's just what he did.
close drives heard hit home love needs share steady
He's pretty steady with what he does each year. He drives in his share of runs. He'll probably hit close to 20 home runs. I've heard where he's going to hit more than that, and we'd love that, but that's not something he needs to do.
bad
It was a bad read. You don't know how things are going to play out after that but he was a little too aggressive.
team
That's what this team does. This team is dangerous. They've got so much speed, they can do anything.
heard mockery

looked saw
I saw the replays and it looked like he got lucky.
area few maybe needs score taken
Now maybe we'll be taken a little more seriously. Now we just have to go out and score a few more runs. I think that's an area that still needs to be addressed. J.P. is working it pretty hard.
bad behind care clutch couple guy last player talking watch
You watch Ortiz the last couple years -- there's not a more clutch player out there. I don't care who you're talking about. Of course, the guy behind him ain't bad either.
available days row three
He has pitched three days in a row and won't be available tonight.
ball balls front hit hits home hooking kept last left remember run saw time
The home run he hit, when hits balls to the left side, he's usually out in front and hooking them into the stands, but he kept that one fair. I can't remember the last time I saw him hit a ball like that down the line.
embarrass needed work
You never want to embarrass the kid. But he needed to get his work in.
