grateful job
I'm grateful for it. Now it's my job to make it work.
chance hopefully pitches stay
That'll be his debut. But hopefully he pitches well and has a chance to stay here a while.
fixing knocked
That knocked something out, didn't it? I ain't fixing it.
bring closer nice sit
It's nice to be able to bring in your closer and sit back and relax.
bothering
It's still nagging, still bothering him. It's not 100 percent. If he's got to go out there, he can go out there.
good hit home runs start swinging
It didn't start out good, that's for sure. We've been swinging good and we like our offence. When you can hit some home runs it makes a difference.
both chance good great learning looked
Jeez, they both looked good. They both have a chance to have great careers. Two youngsters with good arms. They're both learning in the big leagues.
approach ask bats couple days extra face pitching spring training year
There were days in spring training when I would approach him after he got a couple of at bats and ask him if he had had enough. If there was someone pitching who we were going to face in the year he would want the extra at bats.
good guy spring
You want a guy to have a good Spring Training. But it's just Spring Training. That's how you look at it.
came helped mental spring tone toughness valuable year
From day one of spring training, he came in with mental toughness and helped set the tone for our team. He had an all-star year for us, so he's very valuable for us.
behind bit intimidate run stronger
He makes us that much stronger behind the plate. He can intimidate you a little bit with his arm. You can't just run at will when you're in that opposing dugout.
ball few hurting keeping missing mistakes year
He's not missing by much. But I would say that what's hurting him this year is a few too many mistakes ... like keeping the ball up.
ask build games good knock love played playing trying type
It doesn't get any easier, but we've played them good all year. We'd love to go in there and knock them out somehow. We couldn't ask for more for what we're trying to do here. We're trying to build something, getting used to playing these type of games for our own experience.
good maybe question supposed
Maybe the question is: Are we as good as we're supposed to be?
