We're going to give this a go. That's our plan. If somebody is really hot and we're trying to win games, it may come down to that.

We want to hang in there and see what develops. We want to finish well and say we had a good year. You play until you're eliminated.

We're not dead yet, but we're tired. In the end if we hang in there, it's because of the way they go about their business. If we don't it's because we're not good enough, yet. But it won't be because of lack of effort or lack of preparation or lack of heart.

It's a big day for him. I saw him yesterday and wished him luck and told him to have fun out there. You only get that debut one time. He'll be nervous. He'll be scared. Everybody is -- and you hope he is. That's natural.
darn expected good lay team teams
For a team that wasn't expected to do a whole lot, they've done a darn good job, ... Some teams lay down there and die. Not that group.

He was in command. He was down in the zone all night.

They pitched good. They're bullpen was outstanding. We battled and we hung in there -- gave ourselves some chances. But they came through.

I guess he thought I was arguing balls and strikes.

Baseball's a gamble. We went for the top two guys out there. We're banking on them. And they're banking on us.

He's going to have to get some innings in.
learned move ready year
It has been a long year but I look back at it more with a sense of satisfaction and optimism. I think we've learned a lot and we're ready to move forward.

That knocked something out, didn't it? I ain't fixing it.

He had great stuff. He went out there a few times and pitched very good for us. He may have had a tender elbow at times. To be honest with you, it doesn't surprise me. We knew he could pitch.

He's going to be really excited, probably throwing 100. Hopefully it's 100 strikes. He'll probably be throwing 100 miles per hour.
