I don't want to brag, but I do more homework on the course than any other announcer. I chart the greens to get all the breaks. I walk down into the greenside bunkers. I walk into the fairway bunkers to see whether a player can reach the green from them.
It's not what you accomplish in life that matters; it's what you overcome.
When Nicklaus plays wells well, he wins. When he plays badly, he finishes second. When he plays terribly, he finishes third.
It's not so much what you accomplish in life that really matters, but what you overcome that proves who you are, what you are, and whether you are a champion.
The carburetor malfunctioned, causing the engine to flood and essentially shut off on every restart, ... The problem also surfaced on pit road, so it made for an interesting day. On the long runs, we were turning lap times within the top 15 cars in the race, but on the restarts, we'd fall back 10 or more positions, so we had to keep fighting our way up from the back of the field.
It's crazy. You think you're doing 20 Roseanne Barr shows in a row.
Match play really exposes your character, who you are and how much of a will to win you have in your heart, ... It also exposes what kind of weaknesses your game has. If you have a tendency to get a little 'yippy' putting, it'll be an even bigger 'yip' than in stroke play. It's the toughest format.
The crew worked so hard to get this car on the grid. This is a small crew, so they all have to do double duty. They should be proud of their efforts this weekend. I'd also like to thank Paul Menard's DEI crew, who did a great job, handling our pit stops during the race.

She's a one-in-a-hundred-million golfer, so her path can't be judged by other people's paths. She's in a position I don't think anyone has been in, including Tiger or Nicklaus. She's just better at that age than anybody's ever been before.
