The crew worked hard all weekend. We made a bunch of changes before qualifying, so we'll have a brand-new car for the race. We'll be starting at the back with the likes of Robby Gordon and Boris Said with a setup we haven't tested, so it'll be an eye-opening experience going into turn one.
I think in some ways Tiger has been slightly cheated in his career by not having tougher guys to compete against, like a Trevino, a Raymond Floyd and a Nicklaus. On Sunday, if Tiger went up against those guys, he'd know deep down, 'These guys are going to kick my butt if I don't play my best.' And I don't believe he thinks that way now. He knows if he's playing good, he's got it.
We were very close. We hunted everything with hair and feathers together.
Match play really exposes your character and how much of a will to win you have in your heart.
We get worn out, too. We get excited. We're not automatons. To me it's fun work, but definitely w-o-r-k is in there. And there is a lot of pressure on us to cover, and it's a hellacious effort to get the scoring right by Sunday.
We are happy with our finish, especially considering that this deal only came together a week ago ... We beat some pretty heady competitors today, and we ran a few guys down. Overall, we're pleased with the effort.
Whenever there's something new, it's always roundly criticized.
Hurricane Katrina can only take you so far. Those kids from the Coast went through so much and just relied on playing basketball. We represented the Gulf Coast.
He was a consummate pro in the way he handled himself. I just loved him.
We've had an uphill struggle all weekend, so we're really excited we made the race,
My dad used to make me follow those guys in the city championship. I couldn't believe how good George's putting and chipping were. He used to play in putting contests for money all the time at Harding and Lincoln. It's no coincidence he became such a great putter.
The top American players have stunk it up.
Fantastic finish for the team considering we had not run a dry car setup before. Once we put a new motor in the car, we will be able to run up front. The chassis was working well today for us.
I like the way my wallet feels in them
