figure fourth games key last obviously plays pocket quick running sick stages taken
We've had games in our pocket and then have been mugged. We've had games taken from us in key stages of the fourth quarter. It's a sick feeling. Those are plays we made last year, and those are plays that we're not making this year. Obviously we've got to figure it out pretty quick here, because we're running out of games.
achievement adverse came continuing credit earned football forward great greatly home hung key missing next orleans players proud season
I would just like to say it is a great feeling, a great accomplishment by our team. I am very proud of them. A credit to the New Orleans Saints, they came in here under adverse circumstances, obviously, missing some key players and they competed greatly today. We hung in there and we earned our 11th victory. We look forward to continuing the season at home next week. I am really proud of our football team.
battles certain early game guys key players
We're going to play the regulars a little bit. They'll give way early to a lot of guys who we think are in key battles at certain positions, and guys who are young players who we think need game time.
cog defense key
He's a key cog in the No. 1 defense in the NFL, so we're going to need him.
football games happened hopefully key learns looking players points ready rearview regret roll score send win
You've got to score points to win football games and we regret what happened here, having to send one of our key players home, but looking at it in the rearview mirror, we would do the same thing again. Hopefully Simeon comes back ready to roll and he learns from this.
couple drops good great key
I like the way we started. It was a great first drive. A couple of key drops stymied some opportunities that we had. We are doing some good things, but we have a long way to go.
goes inaccurate injury involving key life optimistic player potential sit stand
I'm an optimistic guy. But I'm also very realistic. I just don't want to stand up here and say something that is inaccurate when it's involving a key player and an injury of this potential magnitude. I just sit and wait. That's kind of how my life goes sometimes.
cost key late penalties second
Late in the second quarter, we had some key penalties and some breakdowns that cost us.
added careless couple deserve errors good great guys half handled minnesota noise nose offensive second tackle
I thought those guys battled. They did some good things. Minnesota has a very good front. They've added a great nose tackle (Pat Williams) from Buffalo. ... I thought (our offensive line) handled the noise at times pretty good. I thought we had some careless errors - a couple of penalties, particularly in the second half - but those guys deserve a lot of credit.
good guys
I thought those guys battled and did some good things,
beaten consistent dark darn fairly football forward game good horses jump looking onto running seeing talented teams throughout year
I think we have beaten some pretty darn good football teams and have been fairly consistent throughout the year. We've got a talented defense. We have a good running game and we are looking forward to seeing what we can do. Every year there are dark horses that jump onto the scene.
favorable goes impact possession run time
It goes hand-in-hand, ... You run the ball, you're going to have time of possession and it is going to have a favorable impact on the defense.
won
Jiminy Christmas, 1989 is as long time, ... That's what we're up against. We haven't won there in forever. I don't even know where I was in 1989.
good great hit home running saw signs
I saw some good signs that we can be a good running team. Who knows? If we hit some home runs, we could be a great running team.
