I've only missed one Capitol 10K (in 1983). On Sunday, I'd love to run about 42-43 minutes, but I don't know if that's realistic. I think I have a good shot at getting a medal, though.
hit injuries races recovery run slow
Once you hit about 56-57, injuries can really slow you, and you need more recovery time. I used to run 30 or more races a year, and now I run 15 or so.
