I'm pleased with the team's effort. We turned in more positives than we did negatives. I had said on a good day if we did everything right we'd be at the top, and that's exactly what we did. The only thing that hurt us was the lack of depth.

It shows progress. Every kid in the program has improved. I have nothing more to ask of them except that in two and a half weeks they get focused for the task ahead of them.

I was helping the rest of the folks in the neighborhood to evacuate some of the elderly and the handicapped, and we got separated.

It was enough to win. But he wasn't pleased with his performance. He was aiming for 50 feet, and a state qualifying berth. Roy did what he had to do.
fast gets jeff outdoor runner start stronger
Jeff is a stronger runner in the outdoor 110-meter hurdles. He doesn't start out as fast as the other kids, but once he gets going, he's fast as anyone. You could just see his acceleration.
coaches glad push talk
They're going to push each other in every event. You want to talk about a tandem. These coaches all look at them and say we don't have anything like that. I'm glad they don't.

It's early season, I'm worried about getting him for mid to late season. We're bringing every one along slow, except for our distance runners.
