camp develop hardly james normal rotation stock training
That's been said for 100 years, I don't ever put stock into it. I don't have a normal rotation right now. At training camp we never had Toni Davis, we didn't have Eddy Curry, we didn't have Richardson, we hardly had James at all. I don't know how you can really develop a rotation.

I won't play the rookies all the time, but they earned it. It's going to take some time. We're trying to figure out who can play and who can help us.

I've said this over and over again. ... You defend, you rebound, you share the ball. That's going to determine how much you play. That's the way we're going to have to reward guys, because we're not fighting for the playoffs here.

It's been a struggle. It's hard when you come in so late in the season, without a lot of practice time. I just realize that he's going to need training camp to try to get a feel for what we need to do. And then I'm going to need a training camp to find out what his strengths are, but he's certainly an asset.

You're a new coach, you come in and you try to develop a culture. But also you work on things as a group, and we've never had that.

I know he's not afraid to take it. I was a little nervous that he walked it up. I wanted him to kind of rush it up but it was a great win, especially when you consider the players we had out there.

I look around, the young kids can make a mistake, but it's generally with effort and that will go a long way to correcting itself, ... We've got to get all of us doing that, because you're going to make mistakes. Take a bad shot, turn the ball over. It's going to happen, but you can't compound it by not doing your job, and understanding the trust, I always talk about trust, if I don't hustle back I affect my whole team, and I have to believe strongly enough not to ever let that happen.
