second
When it happens, it happens. It's the second day, so I don't think it's critical.
ball defense early foul interior second shooting talk team trouble turning
We can talk all we want, but if the team is shooting 65% and we're turning the ball over and we get in early foul trouble you can't make it a high-possession game. The second half, we didn't make it a high-possession game. We don't have the interior defense right now if we do get beat. We can't play like them.
bad envy game mind seconds
I didn't look at it as a bad thing. I put him back in the game (with 18 seconds left) to have him guard. I don't mind that; I envy that.
ball hurt loose second turn
We got really aggressive, especially when we went small. We got loose balls, we didn't turn the ball over and we got second shots. We really hurt them on the boards.
calls couple great job second tough
We did a great job in the second half. There were a couple tough calls down the stretch, but when you are down 25, you have to be perfect. We got close, but did not get it done.
attacked boards gave guy helped needed second stay
I really think he's the guy who helped us stay in this game. He attacked the boards when he needed to and gave us some second chances.
came case either halftime looked points second third
At halftime I think out of 47 points, 27 of them came out of either turnovers or second shots. And then in the third quarter, I think we were down 24, I looked they had 28 points off turnovers and we had two. And I think that's been the case all year.
ball half hang struggled turned
I thought the first half we really struggled offensively and turned the ball over a lot, but we just managed to hang in defensively and that was critical.
rookies situation tough
I thought they were a little tired, ... and then I thought down the stretch, I don't want to put the rookies in a tough situation like that.
process time understand
I think we just sometimes don't understand how we get leads, and time and score. We're just young and this is the process you've got to live with.
brought defensive fair intensity kids quarter third took
I think we didn't have much defensive intensity at all in the third quarter. The third quarter was not what we expected, so I wanted to put the young kids in and they brought us back into the game. I didn't think it would be fair if I took them out.
demanding
I think what you've got to do is keep simplifying it and demanding it,
aware basketball careers great guys history hockey later means older players realize sure teams until
I think a lot of the young players in basketball are not aware of what some of the older players in basketball have done, what they went through, and their accomplishments. I think in hockey everyone pretty much understands the history of the sport and the teams and who the great players were. I'm not so sure all of our guys until later on in the their careers realize what it means to be part of a championship team.
beat caliber ignore people
I think that's where people really started to take notice. To beat those caliber of teams, you can't ignore that.
