He was tough to tackle, but we should have gotten to him several times. I was disappointed with the loss and with the tackling.

I can't imagine the excitement that Larry Foote is going through. He went to high school at Pershing, then to have a great career here.
changes compares goal held honestly national striving thinking
I can honestly say I have never held that mind-set, ... I mean, if you do that here, 'Get me to eight,' you're in trouble. What I'm always striving for ... I tell the players: Once, I was part of a national championship team. That really changes the way you look at things. anybody football goals good happened lost program stage teams unless
Every program has goals and you have to decide, do you still have the same goals, because when you look around at what's happened in the first two weeks, a lot of very good football teams have lost. I don't think at this stage anybody is out of anything unless you've lost two games.
anybody competition conference respect success understand
We all understand the competitiveness of that conference and their success in competition with the Big Ten. I don't know anybody out there, as a coach, who doesn't have respect for the Mid-American Conference.
losing
There is nothing that can make you feel better after losing this game.
