extremely goals high michigan stumble team tough
Here at Michigan the goals are always extremely high and the expectations are always great. When you stumble early, that's when you really find out how tough your team is.
gotten loss several tough
He was tough to tackle, but we should have gotten to him several times. I was disappointed with the loss and with the tackling.
ability effect effort evolved fatigue four game individual matter minutes quickness sustain time toughness
It's a matter of quickness, that's what this game has evolved to - quickness and toughness and ability to sustain an effort over 60 minutes and over four months. Any time you have too much weight, it has a fatigue effect on you, in an individual game and in the season.
anybody best considered football great high offensive played point start talented tough
At some point he will be considered with the very, very best offensive linemen that have ever played here and that's high praise. He is so talented athletically and he is so tough mentally. For anybody who was going to start a football team, Jake Long would be a great place to start.
brian endurance gained incredible keeps proved respect tough
I gained a lot of respect for Brian Calhoun today. He's one tough guy. He keeps coming. He's proved to have incredible endurance and he doesn't fumble the football.
challenged despite football fought impressed played proud
I thought our team, despite some of the things we were challenged with, fought back and played through some adversity, and I'm proud of this football team. I think the thing I've been impressed with is how we've competed.
agreeable dealing distract less listen might people success wise
Dealing with success is more agreeable than dealing with losing, ... but it's no less difficult. Now we have to deal with all these people patting us on the back. But it's not wise to listen to that because it might distract you from what you need to get done.
interested
I'd be more interested in what he wanted to do.
perhaps urgency week
Obviously, there is a sense of urgency about this week that's very special, that perhaps is different.
carry game learned says third true
I think we learned that he's durable. When you carry the ball, particularly in your third game as a true freshman, 25 times, I think it says a lot of things.
apparent coaches days good great guys large next number recruit spread starts state states year
I think it starts - we always start in the state of Michigan. And we did not recruit a large number of guys from this state this year. It already is apparent that next year will be a very good year in this state. We start here, but I think our coaches did a great job. I was in 16 states in 15 days in January, and so we were spread out, and yet I think we've got an outstanding class.
meet next toward
I'll meet with them when I get back to Ann Arbor toward the end of next week.
balls five missed open
I thought he missed some open receivers. I thought he had five balls dropped.
debut field guys imagine recovering running ryan wonderful yards
I thought Ross Ryan had a wonderful debut here. I think he's one of those guys that really is a weapon. And imagine a punter running down the field 40 yards or so and recovering a fumble. Ross Ryan is a competitive guy.
