amazing bunch chances deep enjoyed felt game happy knew last nervous scoring special wish
It was a lot of fun. I do wish I would have scored on that shot, but it was a very special night. It was amazing how nervous I was at the beginning. I don't think I ever felt that way, but I knew down deep it was my last game here. I had a bunch of scoring chances and I enjoyed it. I'm real happy we won. What a way to go out.
comeback few games hard last means trying ways
The last few games we've been working hard trying to find ways to win. This was a big comeback for us, and it means a lot for our team.
attention details games knows mental mistakes pay team time work year
This is the time of year when you have to pay attention to details as a team, and right now we're not doing the little things right. Every team is going to play us hard, and every team knows we work hard. But it's mental mistakes that's costing us games right now.
afford games rest
You can't afford to make costly mistakes. The games are going to get tighter and tighter the rest of the year.
battle feeling game good hard hit lose obviously soon tie wrong
Good tip, wrong end, wrong time. As soon as it hit my stick, you just get that feeling where it's not good. Just more frustration. You battle hard to tie it up. Obviously a big game for us. To lose it that way, that's the game, I guess.
decision difficult game incredible journey love playing retire
I have had an incredible journey playing the game I love and my decision to retire has been a very difficult one for me.
best definitely game gave guys last played thankful three tonight
Definitely you could tell tonight the guys wanted to win. That's probably the best game we've played in the last three weeks. We all gave it a little extra, and I'm thankful for that.
crowd falling feeling felt goal good great guy knew mike pass puck reaction stayed sticks
It was a great pass over two sticks by Mike Weaver. I got the puck on a breakaway, I felt the guy falling and I knew I had a good shot. I think the goalie was surprised, and he stayed deep. It was a great feeling because it put us up by a goal at the time. And then the reaction from the crowd and my teammates, it was overwhelming. What a moment.
call greatest living time
I call it a celebration. I mean, that's how I feel. It's been the greatest time in my life. I've been living my dream.
amazing certainly cherish fun great happen memories nights special top win
It's certainly something I'll cherish forever. It was an amazing night. Nights like this are always fun when you win on top of it. I wanted it to happen earlier, but it was special to do it at home. I have so many great memories here.
brought change decided family involved people peter piece sticks sure torch
(Equipment manager) Peter Millar and I decided to do that so I could make sure all the people who have been involved and all my friends and family can get a little piece of this. I brought about 30 sticks. I told Torch he's going to have to play me a lot so I don't have to change sticks on the fly.
couple extra instead knew rather seen time took
I've seen this goalie a couple of times, and I knew he'd come out quick. I just took my time instead of going too fast. I knew on him I would rather take my time and give myself an extra option.
knew love ready skated skating usual
I still really like it. I knew I had to do a lot to get ready for this season. I started skating in July, which I never do. I skated a little more than usual in August. I still love this game.

He took his stick and drew a circle with about a 6-foot radius and said, 'Put it anywhere in there.'
