ball game last ready throw
I would think we're much more ready to throw the ball in this game than we were last year.
admired challenge college dominant great program struggling taken tremendous
It'll be a tremendous challenge for us, but a great opportunity. I've really admired what Pete's been able to do - he's taken a program that was struggling and made it the dominant program in college football. And he's done it with a smile.
fourth national stop win
I told them, if you stop them on fourth down, we'll win the national championship.
bill emotional football hall kansas kids miss nobody school state
It was very emotional for me. Football will miss Bill Snyder. More than that, the kids of Kansas State will miss him. He'll be in the Hall of Fame. Nobody will ever do for a school in football, in my estimation, what he's done for Kansas State.
base cases embrace fan fight media question state understand
Our state is different, there's no question about that. Our media is different. Who we are is different. Our fan base in some cases is different, and you have to understand it and embrace it and not try to fight it.
concern intelligence maybe process
Intelligence isn't a concern here; maybe the process is.
ability baby difference enjoy good kids last people stakes step talked teams texas time took year
Good teams enjoy the hype, and they have the ability to focus. Young people come to Texas and SC for this game, and it's been a long time for us to get back to this game, and we took a baby step last year in this environment. I've talked to the kids about it. The only difference between this year and last year is the stakes are bigger.
base fan media state
Our state is different, our media is different, our fan base is different.
ahead behind maybe throw
Maybe they throw more when they're behind out there. When we're ahead 60-0, they don't throw much.
fourth game lose quarter scores sitting straight team won
It was really surreal, when you're sitting there in the fourth quarter and you're down by two scores to a team who had won 34 straight game and still think you're going to win. We never ever really thought we would lose the ballgame.
answer difficult good jim knows preparing season start sure
I thought Jim (Tressel's) answer was good -- that the only thing for sure he knows about who will start at quarterback is that Vince Young will play for us. (Not knowing) makes it very difficult for us. It's like preparing for another season opener.
bobby fix game last playing puts scares spot team three tight tough
They did not have Bobby Reid the last two weeks, and we think they'll have him back. He can make a lot of plays. Turnovers have killed them the last three weeks. When you're playing a team like that it scares you. If they fix their turnover problems, it puts you in a tough spot in a tight game on the road.
autographs few requests
There's a few more requests for autographs and handshakes.
age-and-aging best team trying
Because they're old. They're my age. Today, in a head-on battle, it's no contest. But on that stage, at that time, they were the best team in the country. And they always will be. And that's what this team is trying to be for the 2005 season.
