directed energies focus focused matter playing
Our focus is playing better and better together. It's a matter of getting our energies directed and focused in one area.
balance centre cooke expect lines matt park playing richard
We like the balance that our lines get. I think we can expect more from Matt Cooke and Richard Park playing with a centre as accomplished as Mo.
great hockey learning playing practice rest saves
He made some great saves in the third. He's been playing a lot of hockey for us. We haven't been able to get him as much rest as we'd like to and as much practice as we'd like to ... but he's really learning how to compete. You can see that.
defensive everybody game guilty playing side strong
You can look at just about everybody in our lineup and we were all guilty of not playing a strong game on the defensive side of the puck.
playing todd
Right now Todd is playing so well, we could probably play him in net.
against early good maybe minnesota panicked playing unlucky
They got the early power-play goal, which was unlucky on a deflection, and we maybe panicked a little bit. When you're panicking and not playing with a lot of jump, that's not a good combination to have against a hard-working Minnesota team.
challenge game goal playing power rise road seemed stingy third wind
Once they scored on the power play, I don't think we mounted much after that. We were playing a stingy road game and I thought we'd rise to the challenge of the third period, but that first goal seemed to take all the wind out of our sails.
adversity beyond body great minutes playing push wants yourselves
It was 53 minutes of playing great hockey. You have to find a way to push yourselves when adversity strikes. Sometimes you've got to push your body beyond what it wants to do.
expected help
I thought they were everything that we expected and think they'll only get better and help our club.
difficult extremely played player year
I think it was an extremely difficult year for Todd. It is probably understated to say it's been the most difficult year for any player that has played in the NHL.
healthy winning
Winning a lot at the end is important, but not everything because you need to be healthy going into the playoffs.
cent per
We can't get discouraged. We have to find a way to get 3 or 4 per cent better.
played
When we've played poorly, we've played really poorly.
eliminate negative performing top
We're not performing at our top level, and we have to eliminate as much negative thought as possible.
