Martin Pierre Brodeuris a Canadian former ice hockey goaltender and the assistant general manager of the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League. In his 21-season tenure with the New Jersey Devils, he won three Stanley Cup championships and five Eastern Conference titles in 17 postseason campaigns. We were lucky getting out of here with one point. We had a chance to get a win. It's usually the first shooter on both sides that decides the shootouts.
People like the glamour and the glamour with Scotty is his hits. That's what they remember. They don't want to talk about him taking the puck away from Jaromir Jagr with one hand or anything like that.
Some of the stuff he would tell us was really out of character.
My skate got caught and I twisted it. I heard it twist and I couldn't get up. All my body weight fell on it. I had to be really hurt to leave the game. We were still in the game at that point.
(That) was as bad a call as they could make. I have never heard of incidental contact in my crease. That was as bad a call as they could make.
It felt long, ... Not playing is one thing, but not being with the guys. I was out of it for 18 months with the lockout and now I'm so happy to get back. When you're hurt -- I'd never really experienced it before -- you're not part of a team too much.
It felt a little hurt but now it's fine. No problem.
When you have a guy everyone expects to produce you just wait for him to explode. We can't forget about him.
We're not kids. At least we're informed of the possibilities.
We just have to move on and try to get better.
We didn't give them our best game, that's for sure. We turned the puck over, made a lot of mistakes. (But) Rick played tremendous. He made the saves when he needed too.
We knew time was on our side when there were disappointing times. But we've turned it around and this was really rewarding.
We're trying to survive and get in the playoffs, so these wins are huge.
The progress that I've made in two days has been tremendous, ... I think one week at the most and I'll be ready to go.
