We are getting closer every day, we really are. We're going to need every day because we have a ways to go, but I am seeing some signs that they are starting to think like one. They've made strides the last few days and they are starting to take a lot of pride in what they do, so we're on our way.

Us seniors didn't want it to be our last game. I think we wanted it more than them at the end. It was a great game.

We're hoping to build on last year. Our goal is to get by the second round of the tournament and to be competitive with some of the big teams in the SCC and get into the SCC tournament. We want to capitalize on our experience. These guys all have a lot of time as varsity players last year. We are working on solidifying our defense. We're hoping we can get a couple of guys besides Matt to score some goals. If we do those things, we should be all right.

We start advertising in late January for the March event. Last year we had about 350 participants who raised $20,000. This year our goal is to have 450 participants with a goal of $30,000 raised.

We're happy because we didn't feel we played our best over the last two games. We had a big, emotional win over Merced, but then we felt like we took a couple of steps backwards. Tonight we played with a lot of passion and a lot of desire and we ended up with a nice win.

We were trying to go aggressively to the basket and I felt like we were doing that. But we just couldn't get to the foul line. We were being aggressive but we weren't shooting any free throws.
