douglas shoot
No. Douglas could penetrate, but he couldn't shoot like that.
excited rookie wished
Right now, I'm as excited as a rookie going to my first camp. This is something I wished for a while ago, and now it's here.
allen bad chris continue fell few injuries numerous playing playoff race reasons tried
One of the reasons why they were not going to play was that while we were in the playoff race Chris (Webber) and Allen (Iverson) were playing with a few injuries and they tried to continue to play. Then, once we fell out of the playoff race - it got a little tougher. Chris (Webber) had a bad back, Allen (Iverson) was playing with numerous injuries and once we were out of the race - there was no reason for them to play.
expected reason win
No one expected us to win this game. That's the reason you play.
move moved past
I've been over there before. We have to move on. You can't always live in the past of what we did or what we were. The Blazers moved on and I moved on.
certainly defense dribble hurt quite shots zone
The zone hurt us quite a bit. We couldn't get any shots; we couldn't get any dribble penetration. We didn't make any shots and certainly our defense was not up to par.
areas block defense exception rebound sam shots
Our defense is a lot better with Sam in the game, because he can block shots and rebound the ball. They're a jump-shooting team, with the exception of Harrington. We just have to get better in all areas defensively.
energy perfect points
Our energy got us back in the game. But you've got to play perfect when you get down 28 points or so.
ball himself people seen selfish shooting takes talk teammates tries win
People talk about him shooting the ball a lot, but it's not a selfish thing. If we get down, he takes a lot on himself to go and win the game. I've seen his maturation in the way he tries to will his teammates to win.
game needed stretch
Down in the stretch of the game when we needed points, that's what they did. That's what they have to do.
glad
I've never been so glad to see No. 3.
felt
I've always felt like Philadelphia was the place I would end up, the place I was going to be, ... I've always felt it.
work
Sometimes you have to work with what you have.
came effort game guys step wear
Sometimes, when you play in a game of this magnitude, it can wear on you a little bit. I don?t think the guys came out there intentionally to be a step slower. I thought our effort was pretty good. They were just better.
