bad guys selfish wrong
Sometimes being selfish is not a bad thing. Some guys just want the ball. They feel like they can make a difference. There is nothing wrong in that.
age attending call camps couple dealing football good kids remember treat
They used to call me 'Lil' Quick,' ... I went to a couple of football camps when I was a kid, but nothing like this. The good part of dealing with kids is that I was their age once, and I remember what I would have thought if I was attending a camp with a high-profile player, how I'd have wanted him to treat me. So that's how I try to be.
counter run teams throw
They try to keep me in the pocket, try to make me throw the ball, ... So what do we do? We gash them in the run game. We've got a counter for everything teams try and do.
ball efficiency hear passing pocket prove question throw trying
They say I can't throw the ball from the pocket and my passing efficiency isn't that good, so I had to show everybody. It's not trying to prove to the world, because I know what I can do and the Falcons know what I can do. From here on out, I don't want to hear that question again.
fight good great overtime played stay step win
They played a great game, but in the end we had to step up or fight it out in overtime. We wanted to stay away from overtime and win in good fashion.
defensive great played threw
They played a great defensive scheme. They did some things that threw us off balance.
defensive great played threw
They played a great defensive scheme, ... They did some things that threw us off-balance.
burdens expect people rush super takes throw time understand win work yards
They place burdens and expectations on me, ... What people don't understand is that it takes time in this game. They expect me to win a Super Bowl. They expect me to go out and throw for 4,000 yards and rush for 1,000 yards every season. But it doesn't work like that.
care continue football plays win
So what? As long as I continue to make plays and win football games, that's all they're going to remember. That's all I care about.
cry dealing field hardest issues
Dealing with the issues off the field is the hardest part, ... But that's part of it. I don't cry about it. I don't pout.
people
As long as I can go out and make plays, people can say what they want to say,
ear execute game mental playing possible practice
As long as I'm getting mental reps, I think I'll be able to go out there and execute the game plan. It's possible I may not practice all week. Who knows? I'm just playing it by ear right now. I just have to be able to be me.
ball hand protect shook trying whether
That shook me up a little bit. Now, I'm trying to protect myself. I'll do anything possible, whether it's getting the ball out of my hand or going down if I have to. If I've got to take the sack, I'll take the sack.
certainly everybody far game goes great monday night philly playing since stepped team
This goes to show how far we've come since 2004. We were playing a great team like Philly on a Monday night with everybody watching. That's what you play the game for. We certainly stepped up to the challenge.
