There have been times this year, through health or just not performing well, I haven't helped this team win ballgames,
Lord willing, I'll be ready by opening day. It is the weight-bearing bone in the bottom part of your leg.
Last year was a building year, and a painful one at that. But we got to see how our young guys could perform over a long, 162-game season. The ones who fared well still fit into our future plans.
We need to make changes this winter as players and as an organization and turn things around because this is unacceptable. When you play bad baseball, no matter what your record is, it's not real satisfying.
Dr. Steve Joyce said it would take four to six weeks to heal, which kind of scared me at first, but the good news is I injured it about 4 1/2 weeks ago.
There would have been no repercussions back then. There was no testing like that. But I knew in my heart it was wrong, and I had my faith to get me through it.
Sort of puts an extra hop in your step.
This late in the year, ... we put the emphasis on not quitting and definitely not packing our bags until that last out in Toronto.
Any loss is tough. Santana showed today why he's one of the best pitchers in baseball.
As far as stuff goes, that's the best stuff we've seen all year. I think he's only given up one or two runs all year and he showed us why -- he was on top of his game tonight.
I know in the long run the fans will be behind us and we hope to put on a good show for our fans.
I like it here. I like this team a lot.
I had a grand slam against him. Maybe I'll pinch-hit against him, maybe in the 18th?
I read his college stats -- Nintendo stats -- and they looked good. I hope he can help us real soon.
