I'm not particularly happy with the way we're playing. We had five runs on 11 hits, but we left 12 on base. We have been in cruise control since Western Illinois. We are fortunate to be 6-2 over that stretch. I told our guys we're playing very mediocre baseball. It's going to catch up to us. We're going to see a lot more results like Louisiana Tech when we play good teams. We get a lead early then go into cruise control. We didn't get to 19-8 by going through the motions.

He's a crucial guy. He's one of those guys you realize quickly what he does for you, particularly defensively. We've had plenty of injuries and this is one we'll have to deal with. Guys in his place will have to step up.

The first game was interesting. We had a four-run lead and squandered it, but Daly puts up zeros, Derek gets the big hit and Steven (Wright) closes it. Steven had to get his work in and 25 pitches was just right.
