We find ourselves trying to play ourselves into a playoff spot. Right now we're playing ourselves out of it.
I think everyone in here still believes we can do it, but we've been saying for how many months now that we can't let games slip away? Sooner or later, if we keep letting them slip away, we're not going to be able to say we can still get into (the playoffs).
We've been saying it all year, we need everyone coming to play. If we do that, we should get good results. Guys are working hard and stuff, but it's little mistakes that in years past there'd be somebody else back to cover things up and we're not doing that either.
We had our chances on the power play, and we definitely could have used a big goal. We tried a lot of shots. Maybe we should have worked it around a little more. When we do that, though, we say we need to shoot more.
We have to learn from it, but we can't dwell on it. We have to go get two points in Calgary.
We want to play them in their end and always have the puck and start making plays in their zone. When we're successful, we get results like this.
We got some lucky bounces there and got some bounces off guys.
We had three right before the break, now this makes four and this is what it's going to take to get back in the race.
They always play us hard. They haven't taken any games off against us, and it's obvious that we have.
We knew we were getting chances. We knew if we could stick with it and get shots, we would be OK.
In the third, we didn't come out and play to get the win.
I learned so much - a lot of hockey things, but probably the biggest was the work ethic that Kelly would bring. Kelly told me he would do it for me, and make sure that some day, you do it for somebody else.
Games in hand are a good thing only if you win them.
I can't control what people say or anything like that. I have to focus on what I can control and that's what I'm going to do.
