andy blessed certainly considered deserves
Actually, we're blessed to have two No. 1 starters. Even before I got here, I always considered Andy Pettitte particularly special. Certainly he deserves it, too.
So, you've got to do things, in my opinion, that way, so most of it's calculated.
basically definitely mitt saw strike within zone
Definitely saw him more in the strike zone. I saw him down in the strike zone more and then saw him go up (in the zone) when he wanted to go up. That's what you wanted to see. You want to see him within basically the mitt most of the time.
bruise calf inner knee next ok size spread
The bruise is diffused somewhat, so he doesn't have a big (welt) the size of a watermelon on his knee now. It's spread up his calf and inner thigh a little bit. He's sore, but he's just fine. I feel 100% that he will be OK to make his next start.
cared
A whole lot of Dontrelle Willis tonight. A little more than I cared to see.
bunch hits question somebody
That was a big blow. No question that when you're not bunching a bunch of hits together, then you need somebody to come through for you big.

baggy came hung physically roy tough win
That was a big ballgame. Roy (Oswalt) hung tough for us, and Baggy came up real big. Emotionally and physically to give us a win like that, that was really good.
darn deal gonna gotta nervous sure
That's what you gotta deal with, 'cause they're darn sure gonna be nervous when we get into the playoffs. So you gotta be able to (throw strikes) when you're nervous.
bases biggest hate love seeing seems teams tells trouble
That tells the story. That seems to be our biggest problem. You hate seeing the bases loaded. Most teams love seeing the bases loaded. We seem to have a little trouble with it.
bases biggest hate loaded love nobody seeing seems teams tells trouble
That tells the story. That seems to be our biggest problem. We hate seeing the bases loaded. Most teams love seeing the bases loaded with nobody out. We seem to have a little trouble with it.
playing younger
That's not bad. For a younger kid, I would usually have them in the 30s right now and they would end up with 55 at-bats or so. I could end up getting him there playing him more than I really want to, but he's getting there.
That's not typical. That's about the most you'll get out of Roy.
ball brad hit knows mistake next walking
The mistake we make is walking Edmonds. You have to let Edmonds hit the ball in the next count. You can't walk him, and Brad knows that.
