ball breaks bust couple course good hudson keeping league previous seen sinking sure zone
I said it's going to take a couple of breaks and someone's going to have to bust one long. That was the Hudson that I had seen in previous years in the American League with a good sinking fastball. He was keeping the ball down in the zone and just didn't give us much. And sure enough, we got something going. And Lance (Berkman) comes up with a big boom. Then of course Ausmus with a big boom, too.
anybody man might prepared rocket seen thrown whatever
Rocket might have thrown 10, 20 innings. I think he was prepared to do whatever it took. And that's the way the man is. I've never seen anybody like him. He's amazing.
ahead count deep goes innings last pitch point quite seen successful
I think he is back, but he is not quite to the point we have seen him pitch before. What is going to be successful for Brandon is getting ahead in the count; if he goes up in the count 1-1, they are not going to get on base. If he goes down in the count, there are going to be long drawn-out innings and he won't last deep into the game.
composed seen
I thought he was as composed as I've ever seen him,
command seen struggled
That was a surprise. We haven't seen that from Oswalt. He struggled with his command and just didn't look comfortable in that first inning. This is very much uncharacteristic of the way he's pitched.
bat couple last seen swings
When he swings the bat like we've seen the last couple of days, he very well could be that guy.
although best both control downhill game gets great heat high hope looks people pitch seen sides
I feel that we have not seen his best game, although I can see why people are very high on him. He has a great downhill tilt, he looks like when he gets his game together, he can control both sides of the plate. He's down in the zone. I would hope he would go down there and pitch right from the get-go and put a little heat on us up here.
balls breaking dominant seen strike
He didn't look as dominant as I've seen him in the past. He didn't use a lot of breaking balls or off-speed stuff, he just used his fastball. But we didn't strike it.
across anybody arm ball change crossing diamond difficult double extremely guys move quick second seen strong throw time turning unusual
Guys usually have a very difficult time crossing the diamond in the infield. But he's extremely quick, as quick as anybody I've ever seen at turning a double play. That's unusual for a guy to have such a strong arm, who can throw the ball across the diamond and then move to second and immediately be able to change his arm angle.
bat confidence help lamb lift longer morgan plus power quite saying seen starting step stretch swing time
I've been saying for quite some time now that Lamb is going to have to be a big plus for us down this stretch drive, and he is starting to swing the bat like we've seen in the past. It was a big lift tonight. We don't know how much longer Morgan is going to be out, but if he (Lamb) can step up and swing with power like we know he can, I think that will help everybody's confidence a little bit.
ball bat breaks cheers crazy crowd goes guy people rolls seen starts takes
I've never seen it where the crowd cheers as much when he breaks his bat and the ball rolls 10 feet. The place goes crazy. Most of the time, people go crazy when a guy takes a big swing, and they go 'Ooooh...' This guy, in our park, he nibbles one and everyone starts going nuts.
messages seen sent
I have not seen him. I have messages that he sent to other people.
comparison last seen since
He's still very good, ... He's still better than good. But in comparison to last year, that's what I've seen since the end of last season.
quite seen sharp
He (Pettitte) wasn't quite as sharp as we've seen him,
