Last week we played well against Carter (in a 42-36 victory), this week we stink, ... It's really, really, really frustrating.
What's impressive is their starting pitching. You give up three runs to a team like ours, that's impressive. Obviously they've played us well, but they've played other teams well.
Probably the theory of most people that have played the game is they'll go as long as they can until they have, A, a career-ending injury or, B, too old and they've been doing it long enough and the fire has gone out. I still have a passion for it.
They've played us well, ... We don't take them lightly.
They've obviously played us well. They've played a lot of people well. We don't take them lightly. I don't think anyone does.
Jason was a one-man wrecking crew. Jason pretty much did it all himself today. I'm glad to see he's back on track and picked up where he left off in the second half of the season. It's a real blessing to have someone like that in the lineup.
I think every pitcher pitches a little differently when they get out of Colorado, ... He's a different pitcher here and we're really getting the benefits of his performances. He's pitching the way he always knew he could out of that environment.
With all the adversity this team has been through, it's very gratifying to see how things panned out for everybody. It's pretty satisfying considering I haven't been as consistent as I'd like to be, and to still win 17 games ... that's pretty satisfying.
Regarding the unfortunate incident that happened this morning as I was on my way to take a physical, I hope that everyone will understand that the past few days have been a bit overwhelming and I wish I had handled the situation differently, ... I am very sorry it happened.
I'm here to win. No doubt, it's been a disappointing year, but I know what I'm capable of doing. I think the game that I pitched today was coming.
There are situations where employers cannot find American workers to fill jobs.
Just take a little breather and let the bullpen come in. They did a nice job. I don't need to go out there every time and pitch seven, eight innings.
That, and the biggest thing is I've missed my mechanics, too.
Math and science are the foundation for engineering. That's the basis for technical development.
