consistent everyday happy needs
We're really happy with where he's at. He needs to go down and get some consistent at-bats on an everyday basis.
flip kid night side
Wow, what a performance. He was just unbelievable. He went right at them the whole night. Their kid did great, too. We've been on the flip side of that a lot.
everybody
We all got nervous. I think everybody did.
good range roller saw slow
Very smooth. His range is not as good as it once was, but you saw him charging in on a slow roller and making it look very, very simple.
maybe missed opportunity runs score
We missed an opportunity to score runs for Santana and maybe get him a win. Which is probably the most disappointing thing for the night.
changed close good pitching playing team
We were playing a very good team here with a changed lineup and I think we battled pretty good in the series. Our pitching is pretty close to where we need it to be. I think we're going to be fine.
motivate time whatever
Whatever you can do to motivate yourself, do it at this time of year.
hike paper understand whatever
Whatever you feel -- 'Who's got your back?' like I read in the paper -- it's not about that. It's about winning. And if you don't understand that, take a hike out of the clubhouse.
balls miss played
We've played well defensively. We don't miss too many balls there.
time year
We've probably had too many at the same time this year who've struggled.
good innings news ready somewhat start stretched whether
The good news is that we'll get his innings stretched out and he'll be somewhat ready to start the season. Whether it's here right away or down the road, he'll be on that schedule.
innings next nine playing seven
We'll put him over there and have him play in some live games. If he can play seven to nine innings and he makes it through it, then he'll be playing by next Tuesday.
best pitcher tonight
We had our best pitcher going tonight and you've got to win. All we can do is try to come back tomorrow.
handle jokes took
We did a lot of talking. I didn't handle it good; he didn't handle it good. I make a lot of jokes about it now, because I know now there probably wasn't as much there as I read into it. I took it personal, and it really wasn't personal.
