defense looking mental mistake paying picked seeing stay tired understanding
We're not paying attention. Our defense has to stay back and we only had one in position. They picked us apart. A tired mental mistake was made at that point, not looking and not understanding or seeing what you've got off a rush.
defend harder himself looking position shoot threat
Now what he's got to do is put himself in a position to shoot more. He's always looking to pass. You have to be a threat out there to shoot and pass, it makes it that much harder to defend against.
angles bad league learn looking net pass position puck rink scramble throw
A lot of times with the width of the rink you have bad angles ... you're always looking to pass the puck because you think somebody's going to be in a better position (to shoot). It's a better play in our league to throw it at the net and scramble things up. That's something he'll learn with a little more experience.
came couple great grinder looking sharks upside
I never would have thought when I first came to the Sharks a couple years ago that Cheech was going to be a 50-goal scorer. I thought we were looking at a great third-line grinder with some upside for scoring.
catch looking shoulder
You catch him looking over his shoulder saying, 'Wow', and you go from there.
found glad looking ways
For a while there, I thought we were looking for ways to lose. I'm just glad we found a way to win.
buy couple few happen hard looking lose next suddenly teams
It's hard to know what's going to happen in the next few days, because there are so many teams still in contention. But some teams could lose a couple of games, and suddenly they're not looking to buy anymore.
awhile foot future game gas hard looking risking
It was looking for awhile like the way the game started that we weren't going to get anything and once we battled back it's hard in a game like that to keep your foot on the gas without risking anything and I think in the future we've got to keep on pushing.
breaks couple early joe might pipe provided shot time
I think that first shot that Joe clanked off the pipe might have shaken them up a little bit. He provided a spark, but for the first time in a while we got a couple of breaks early in the game.
fearing man people though totally
People are fearing him now, and that's what you want to see with Joe. He's a man on a mission. . . . Even though he's not getting points, he's totally controlling the game.
bump bury dominated game hit minutes move talked
We dominated the game for 35 minutes and we should have been up 4-, 5-, or 6-0. We talked before the game if we hit a bump in the road, we'd just bury it and move on.
finally last skaters totally
We finally had 18 skaters totally committed. The last two games, I couldn't say that.
bounce handed happens points puck stick stuff
We handed two points away. That's a shame. We had the puck on our stick and didn't get the puck out of our zone. When stuff like that happens at this point of the season, it's inexcusable. But we'll bounce back.
game goal next run table toughest
Our goal is to run the table here. The toughest game is always the next one you're going to play.
