adversity face stuff
We responded to adversity and that's important because we're going to face this kind of stuff when we're on the road.
both guard maybe wire
We actually got right down to the wire on both kills. I think maybe we let our guard down a little bit.
ahead bit control feeling games gotten knowing somewhere totally work
We've still got a lot of work ahead of us, but we're going into games now feeling a little bit different knowing we've gotten somewhere and we're totally in control of our own destiny.
deserved second
We deserved what we got in the second period.
goals happen hoping picked since trade
We're 3-0 and scored 15 goals since we picked up Thornton. It's kind of nice, the things you were hoping would happen with the trade have.
air close fate game seemed tires
We didn't want to tempt fate and have a close game because we thought they would come at us. We seemed to have a lot more jump, more air in our tires than they did.
avoid clicking found job ourselves power start talked tonight
We didn't want to start with a 2-0 hole, and we talked about how to avoid that, but we found ourselves in that position. Fortunately, our power play was clicking tonight and got the job done.
casual pay
We were casual and they made us pay for it.
awful bad execute four good guys open
We made an awful play up the ice. It was a bad pass. You know they have four guys on the ice, we have five. You should be able to find someone open and execute a good pass, and we didn't.
dig energy simple urgency
We're just going to have to dig down and find the energy and play with a sense of urgency that we need. It's as simple as that.
five game potent power score six stay
We've got, I think, a very potent power play. All indications are it (the calls) should stay the same -- and we'll get five or six opportunities a game and we're going to have to score at least one.
breaks couple early joe might pipe provided shot time
I think that first shot that Joe clanked off the pipe might have shaken them up a little bit. He provided a spark, but for the first time in a while we got a couple of breaks early in the game.
angles bad league learn looking net pass position puck rink scramble throw
A lot of times with the width of the rink you have bad angles ... you're always looking to pass the puck because you think somebody's going to be in a better position (to shoot). It's a better play in our league to throw it at the net and scramble things up. That's something he'll learn with a little more experience.
