afford behind cracks critical finding knack lose lost several slippery
We lost Shawn too many times tonight. I know from experience, he's a very slippery player. If you relax, he slides behind you. He's got a knack of finding cracks in there. We lost him several times, and that was one critical play where we couldn't afford to lose him and we did.
jump looked panicked word
We looked panicked right from the jump ball. That's the only word that I can come up with.
bit came habitual looked third tough
We came out well tonight. Unfortunately, they came out better in the third quarter. We looked a little bit dazed and confused, which has been a habitual thing for us this season. When you let them get going, they're tough to handle.
building hard record talked
We don't have the record in this building that we should have. We have talked about it many times. It is hard to figure.
amount difficult played
We started a different lineup and played with the same amount of energy, so it's difficult to tell (the difference). We played better tonight, but I don't want to put it on that necessarily.
call draft enviable gauge gonna good happen john last logical money people picks value
We're in an enviable position. We have good young players, (high) draft picks and money to spend. Yet we're in last place in our division, so it's logical that people would call John and gauge if we're jittery and feel a need to make a big move. We happen to value our young players, and we're not gonna do anything silly.
running stopped
We . . . stopped running back on defense.
against behind dominated game jersey nice season second team won
We should have won that second game of the season at New Jersey (a 100-99 loss). It is nice to put one behind you against a team that has kind of dominated us.
against basically dominated felt free game gave guess missed nice pull season second team throw win won
We should have won that second game of the season at New Jersey. We missed a free throw and gave up a three-point play basically at the buzzer. It's a game we felt like we should have won. I guess it is nice to pull out a win against a team that's dominated us.
chance finish move
We still have a chance to move up and finish .500. We're going to play to win.
asking decisions john player talk
Those are all John's decisions -- he's the boss. But we talk about it every day. I've yet to be saddled with a player without John asking me.
certainly great guys happy hold moments played plays shaky
We had some great moments and we had some shaky moments. I'm certainly happy to have the win, and we had some guys that played well. Then when it got tight, we had enough big plays to hold them off.
blocked defense hang heads open picked shots
We responded particularly well tonight. When things didn't go our way, we didn't go into one of our tremendously long droughts and hang our heads and look defeated. We did the reverse. We picked it up on defense and blocked some shots and got out in the open floor.
ask chance giving ourselves
We're giving ourselves a chance now, and that's all I can ask of these guys.
