If there's anyone that can do it, it's him.
I have to get used to the size and speed of the guys ? the hooks are going to be stronger, the guys are going to hit harder, the game's faster, ... Reaction's a big part of my game, so I have to be quick out there. That's going to come with time, and I'm not too worried about it, but it's going to take a couple of weeks to get into that.
In the third, it wasn't even close. Once they got that fourth one, it was pretty much over.
I really didn't expect anything from this season, I came in open-minded and went with the flow. A lot of things happened during the season, good and bad.
I gave it my best shot, tried to have the best rookie year I could.
He's in the right spot at the right time,
He's pretty demanding. He demands you to be in the right position. He seems really intelligent. If we do things the way we're supposed to, we'll have some success. Hopefully it'll be a wakeup call, but that's up to us.
I don't know if the effort was there. NHL teams, they've got to find a way to be prepared for an opponent. They've got a good team and a good system over there, but that doesn't make it any better.
I don't know, it's tough. I haven't really given it a lot of thought but my dream is to play in the NHL. I think if I do have the opportunity, I would probably go. I mean you grow up dreaming to play. Obviously I can understand the other side of it too, I understand it's a business and I know that there are things going on, that maybe myself and other people don't know, that do influence a lot of guys' opinions. It's hard for me to say right now. I just want to get there. It's my dream.
I don't know if we were there the first period as much as we would have liked to (have been). I don't know if the intensity level of the game was where it typically is.
But, to me, if I had 97 points or 93 after tonight, it's not a big difference. It would be nice to get that, but we'll see what happens. I don't think my mindset will change after tonight.
Honestly, it wasn't on my mind. We're trying to improve and you're seeing a focus in everyone right now, we have good energy and we're all battling.
He's an unbelievable player, ... It was fun just to watch him out there.
I'm feeling a lot more comfortable. I think you never want to forget you're a rookie. You should savor the experience every night. I don't want to play like one, though. I want to play like I've been here a while.
