available brings chemistry ending four guys hard positive
I'm going to look hard at the chemistry someone brings from the other four guys on the court. I still see a positive ending available to this team, but we have to do our part.
defend four goes great guys held left shooting shot
Hey, we held them to 37-percent shooting -- that's great defense. You can say we didn't defend the 3, but about four were with 1 second, 2 seconds, left on the shot clock, guys on them and they get it off, and it goes in.
battle early fighting fights-and-fighting good guys kept taken
I was taken aback by the way the guys just kept fighting and fighting. Early on, it didn't look good at all. All we could do was battle back, and we did that.
considered draft guys jeopardize knows order realm ronnie rule sure wants
He wants to play in the NBA. He knows that's a big part of his future. In order to do that the rule was specifically made for guys like him, guys who aren't really considered in that realm of a first-round draft pick. Ronnie is going to make sure he doesn't do anything to jeopardize his ability.
degree finding good guy maybe terms time
I think it's a good time in terms of just finding ourselves. Maybe (getting) one more degree of each guy that can take us to another level.
definitely four guys matter nba ronnie school senior situation stayed stays tim whether
Everybody's situation is different. If Tim Duncan stayed in school another four years it didn't matter what Tim Duncan did his senior season. I think there are some guys that are NBA guys... I think Ronnie is definitely a guy who could play in the NBA. It doesn't matter if he stays or whether he goes.
balance complement difficult easy floor guys offensive players running step themselves
On different nights, different guys step up for them. Their players complement each other very well. They get themselves easy baskets by running the floor and off offensive rebounds. They don't take a lot of difficult shots, and when they do, they balance it with easy shots.
guy plays steps typical unexpected
That's kind of typical (for UK), that unexpected guy who steps up and plays well.
aggressive careful created defense encouraged georgia guys halftime offense patience picked second transition
Georgia is a very aggressive team, and we had to be careful not to get out of our rhythm. At halftime I encouraged our guys to have more patience if the transition (opportunity) wasn't there. But our defense really picked up in the second half and created some offense for us.
bother guys maybe physical
They said (Georgia's physical play) didn't bother them, but maybe it did. We need those guys to play consistently.
coaches concern conference east felt few four magic nine number seems since teams three winning wins
It seems like three or four years ago, winning nine was the plateau. But a few years ago, it seems like the Big East had a few teams go 9-7 and didn't get in. Since then, there's been a little concern in the SEC about what the number is. Coaches have always felt like 20 wins is a magic number and nine or 10 conference wins, you should feel safe. But at eight, you're still insecure.
early game home protecting win
It's early in the season. It's a very important game. I don't think the season's over if you don't win it. But it's a very important game to get, and protecting home is so important.
hit last seems steven
It's going to be a nagging thing. Steven had it some last year, too. He just seems to always get hit on the same place on his arm, like a magnet.
cbs excited game great kids opportunity playing televised
Going to Rupp and playing in a nationally televised game on CBS is a great opportunity for us. I know our kids are real excited about it.
