Sylvester Croom, Jr.is an American football coach. He is currently the running backs coach for the NFL's Tennessee Titans. He was the head coach at Mississippi State University from 2004 to 2008, and the first African American head football coach in the Southeastern Conference. We were horrible. It was downright awful. I don't know how good we are, but we're a whole lot better than we were last year.

Let me tell you something. That first game, they're going to be like a deer (in headlights), no matter what you do or how you calm them down. I remember the same way myself when I played. You can talk about it all you want to, but when you run out of that gate and that crowd starts yelling, it ain't high school any more, It's a whole different deal.
