among asset billy carolina coaches division impressed next offensive reason side south staff state strong successful worked youngest
I was very impressed with Billy Napier when he worked on our staff in 2003 and 2004. He will be among the youngest full-time coaches in Division I next year, and I look at that as a strong asset. He was a big reason South Carolina State had a very successful season, especially on the offensive side of the ball. He will also be an asset to us in recruiting.
aware critics-and-criticism jeff job profession
The job description of this profession is criticism, ... Jeff was well aware when he went into it. That's why my son's in law, and not going into the profession.
atmosphere continue divide game liked spring teams today
I liked the competitive atmosphere we had today and as long as we have the depth, I would like to continue to divide the teams for the spring game in the future.
four front improve improved last pass rush saw tackling
Defensively we have to get a better pass rush from our front four linemen. We have to improve in that area. But, the tackling was improved from what I saw last Saturday.
biggest guy lose miss point productive run since weapon
You're going to lose right now, our biggest weapon back there. That's the most productive we've had a guy run since I've been here. We're going to miss that. ... Pretty significant at this point in time.
anytime excited
I'm probably more excited now than at anytime I've been here.
ethic far good looked practice practiced problem work workout
He looked good, but he's looked good for a while in practice and everything. I don't think his problem is going to be inconsistency in practice. He's always practiced good as far as work ethic and workout habits.
biggest perform
The biggest thing now is how he's going to perform in a game.

I look at that as a strong asset. He was a big reason South Carolina State had a very successful season, especially on the offensive side of the ball. He will also be an asset to us in recruiting.
potential program
They see the potential of this program being realized.
demeanor maybe
I thought we'd have more full-speed collisions so far, ... He has a toughness, meanness, the personality and demeanor we need. Maybe he'll be in one of those collisions this week.
lets offense
The offense did pretty much what they wanted. It lets you know you're not where you need to be (defensively).
awful background brings knowledge recruiting state
He's got a background here in the state. He brings a lot of instate knowledge and this is an awful important state from a recruiting standpoint.
level mean reached tough whether words
He's a tough guy. He's a mean guy. Whether those are appropriate words to say, I don't know. But again, that's how the game's played, and there's a level we need to play with defensively we haven't reached yet in those aspects.
