Let me start off by saying that we did a lot of experimentation (Saturday). In this type of (match) you try some new stuff and test the chemistry of the team.
Marcus, to me, looked like his shoulder was bothering him a little bit. He didn't look like Marcus.
We've got three guys that practice there and are dead even, but when you get out there on center stage, you've got to perform.
We've got three guys back there and we've got to catch the ball. In warm-ups, Pine Bluff's punter was booming them and we probably gave him too much distance. He was laying them in shorter and getting good rolls. We've got to do a better job of handling punts.
We've got things to work on, no doubt about it, but I thought offensively, if we don't have a big holding call on (Brent Phillips') long touchdown run, if we don't turn it over, they really didn't stop us all night. We executed. We run blocked real well, our backs ran well, and our quarterbacks did a good job just executing what we were supposed to do.
We've got the seniors that have all gone through this league. We're no different than Oklahoma State was last year. We're older and we're wiser and we don't get rattled.
Without his property, there's no room for a jail.
We will have had a really good season. We've done a good job.
We had some terrific donations from the community. There are too many people to thank to name them all.
We thought our performance in that game (A&M) didn't help our cause. Certainly, we would've liked to have been selected. But you're talking about a team that no one thought would finish higher than ninth. I'm still very proud of what this team did this year.
We think this is the best clinic in the state of Arkansas. No clinic has as many quality speakers as we have. We want to help coaches improve and boost football in Northwest Arkansas. We want this event to be something that's around for many years and we want to make football in Northwest Arkansas some of the best not only in the state but in the nation.
We've come a long way since I've come on the board. We've improved the qualify of our school buildings. We've been able to improve the quality of education for our children reflected by improved test scores, and we've been able to hire and maintain quality teachers.
We had a dream to put the facilities together. We're not ready to give up that dream.
We had a couple of people who didn't show up due to other commitments, and we've also had a couple of injuries that hurt us. If we had our whole team I felt like we could have easily finished fifth, and perhaps challenge for fourth.
