My school was 90 percent white, but 90 percent of the kids I played with were black. So I got the best of both worlds. I think that is where my comedy developed.
I mean, I'm very serious with my kids about them comprehending the intricacies of global finance.
I've always been the goofy kid. Growing up, I always enjoyed the comedic aspect of relating to women. Even on camera, it was always the funny take on it.
The big thing I tell my kids is you have to control how you label things. It's very important to me they understand the power they have to create the lives that they want.
There's so much negative imagery of black fatherhood. I've got tons of friends that are doing the right thing by their kids, and doing the right thing as a father - and how come that's not as newsworthy?
I thought we did a good job defensively on their athletic kids.
I thought the kids really competed well throughout the year. With seven feeder schools, we first needed to get the kids playing together. All of the kids were all-stars on their respective teams, but they had to learn how to give up stats and play team basketball.
I thought the competition wen;played was pretty good. We're playing in the Central Region, which I thought was extremely competitive. But all at once, there is not a single at-large bid from the Central Region. We had the kids in the classroom to watch and we were so upbeat.n;But it was dead silence (when then;field was announced) and the silence said it all.
I think we're there; I think we're ready to go. The kids played hard, and these first games are tough, so we'll just get ready for the next one.
It gives the kids some hands-on experience with the equipment we have in our lab. Sometimes, it's easier to understand things if you do them yourself or see them on your own.
Just for a second, my husband was afraid he was going to hit the kids in the crosswalk.
I see high school as that first introduction between the recruiter and the potential applicant. So regardless of what parents do, it's possible that the Army will recruit their kids at some point.
Our kids seem to feed off of Patrick when he's making the outside shot like that. It does get everybody fired up.
Our kids played exceptionally well today. They are doing a much better job of managing the course.
