good guy trust
The guy has good stuff. His sinker could be devastating -- if he would just trust that.
came guys hope next pieces puzzle together winter
All the guys came through big-time. We put the pieces of our puzzle together over the winter and solidified our lineup. They are the ingredients we hope will take us to the next level.
team
A lot has to do with how the team is playing.
double dugout
The double play kick-started us. The dugout was really rocking.
season swing toward
It could be someone else toward the end of the season who could be the swing guy.
addition facing randy wide
It could be like facing Randy Johnson. Or even worse, because he's so wide (in addition to being tall).
ball bottom fluidity kept key looked pitcher pound success totally
I thought Zambrano looked a lot looser, there was more fluidity to his pitches, he kept the ball down. The key to success for any pitcher is to pound the bottom of the zone, but with him, especially. He looked totally different.
ball bit funky hand pitcher seen threw
I think you just have to give the pitcher credit. He threw the ball well. Usually the pitcher has the upper hand when you haven't seen him, and he was a little bit funky with his delivery.
played rather
We played well enough to win. I'd rather win, but you can't be disappointed.
days gives multiple nice pitch stretch
We probably could use another arm. We have a long stretch of days where we don't have any off days. It's nice to have a lefty, and he also can pitch multiple innings. He gives you a lot of options.
happened hopefully inside likes pitch
I think that's what happened . . . he didn't have the feel for the ball. Pedro likes to pitch inside and hopefully he will have a better feel.
factor help
The overriding factor for me is if he can help our club.
game win
If we've got to win a game or we need him, I'll put him in.
division few finish last might
If you're in a division like we're in and you finish in last place, that's because the division is tough, ... What are you going to do? If you were in a different division with the same record, you might be a few notches up the ladder. But when you don't win, it doesn't matter.
