feeling good match serve
I don't want to get too high-and-mighty about my serve because I still have one match to go. But I am feeling good about it this week.
expecting guess hit second serve since
The was the slowest second serve I've hit since I was 12. I guess he wasn't expecting it.
excited france great player
Gael is a great young player and everyone in France should be very excited about him,
highest match played quality
For two sets, I don't think I could have played better. It was the highest quality match we've played.
excited
I was excited I could have James' back today. When he went down, I really wanted to go out there and get it for him.
four hours
I'd give anything to go back four hours right now.
loss remember
I'm in a little shock, to be honest. I don't remember a loss like this,
advance against balls clean conditions days difference five good hopefully huge obviously playing switching
Hopefully it will make a big difference, ... Switching balls is a little thing, but it makes a big difference when you're playing against such good players. I didn't feel clean with anything I was doing up there in Montreal. Obviously getting here and getting used to the conditions four, five days in advance will make a huge difference.
effort five four guy join main maybe
He's the one guy that all of us are chasing. He's the main guy, and then there's probably four or five of us. Maybe we need to do a tag-team effort or something, join forces.
enjoy florida home lake tennis time
I don't think about tennis 24/7. I enjoy time on the lake at my Florida home and just being lazy on the sofa.
awkward compete confidence further gained groove player second swung third
I let him get into a groove in the second set. He started getting confidence and swung from the hip. If I'd let it go any further in the third he would have gained a lot of confidence and momentum. He's an awkward player to compete against.
block bomb hit neutral returned served trouble
He served real well and that got him out of trouble a lot. He returned well. I hit a bomb and he'd block it back and I'd be back to neutral again.
bottom points stepped took
Bottom line, he stepped up and took the points and I didn't.
bottom line
Bottom line is they were just better than us this weekend,
