As long as you're respected among your peers, that's all that matters, and he has my utmost respect. He's proven himself. He continues to reinvent himself. Everything he does on that court, you'd best believe every other player recognizes it. He is a true All-Star and one of the elite point guards.
He was carrying us throughout the whole game. Guys should be inspired by that and want to sacrifice themselves. We can help out by playing at the level he's playing at. We haven't been able to get production from people that we used to get it from and people that we need. I ain't calling nobody out. Myself included.
We're a rhythm team. If we're not playing to a certain rhythm, a certain beat, a certain pace, then we have to make adjustments and I think tonight we let the Lakers dictate, dictate, dictate and then we got down and then we tried to force the tempo.
We're getting there. We're trying to keep ourselves in ballgames. We just got to close it out.
We're showing flashes of brilliance. The key now is to sustain it. People are excited about us in town. I hear about it all the time when I'm out there in the community. But it won't mean a thing if we can't keep it going.
I think the more aggressive I am on defense helps me to get easier buckets and get in a good grove.
People compare me to Isiah Thomas because of my quickness and change-of-direction, the way I change speeds and run the team.
The adrenaline gets pumping and you just got to forget about [injuries] and play.
I wish Elton Brand the best. He's a great guy. He's always going to be a great friend of mine, regardless of what goes on.
I played with Mike Dunleavy Jr., and we got a great relationship on the Warriors. Knowing him and now knowing his dad, all I know is he's a man of his word. Anything that he's ever said to me has been honest and I respect that.
I always loved the Clippers. You root for the underdog. Obviously, everybody in L.A. is a Laker fan, but deep down inside, you root for the Clippers. If you're a true Los Angelean, that's how it happens. You always want the Clippers to do well.
I just stopped liking basketball. And then you dribbling down the court and having the owner like cuss at you and call you an idiot. I didnt even look forward to coming to the games, and if the owner [Donald Sterling] came to the game, I definitely was not gonna have a good game because it was just like, how do you play when the main heckler in the gym is the owner of the team, and hes telling you how much he hates you and calling out your name?
I am the donation to the foundation.
We're just trying to get a win at this point. Can't talk about playoffs when you're losing.
