That's the type of energy we need. It's good to see guys getting an opportunity.... Last year when I came (to the Warriors via a Feb. 24 trade), our bench was so critical. The energy they brought was fun and exciting. That's what we were missing.
We were not as sharp as we usually are, ... They have very good one-on-one players, and down the stretch we couldn't hit our open 3-point shots.
We didn't really do a good job of shutting down anybody today.
He was hot and has been hot for a while. It is good for us that he is playing at the level he is playing at and he keeps us in a lot of ballgames.
He made a good move, but I made a few good ones myself.
I'm just using this training camp as a base to build up my strength, ... We've got a good month until the season starts. We're not in a rush. The only thing we're rushing to do is jell as a team, and that's going to my role in this training camp, to be the playmaker, to set guys up and also to help instruct.
It's good that we got kicked tonight. It lets us know where we stand, and know that we've still got to keep working hard.
a good person, and he's young, which means he is immature.
Just whipping that ball around and sharing, guys knocking down threes. Team play is the most important thing to me. I'm not really averaging a lot of points. But at the same time, we're winning, I'm happy, my assists are up. It's fun when we share the ball and make the extra pass.
What I'm trying to do is use my body. That way, as I back him down, I can kick it out to other players.
We came out like gangbusters, ... It's going to be exciting. You can see it.
When you're not playing well as a team, you've got to play the players that are giving you the best effort out there on the floor. And no offense -- no knock on anybody because we need everybody on our team -- but Ike has really given us a boost. We'll just see what happens.
We stepped our intensity up, played better defense, applied the pressure,
We're getting there. We're trying to keep ourselves in ballgames. We just got to close it out.
