(In the fourth quarter), we put some people in who wanted to play. We got back to playing defense and moving the ball and going down low ... We have to do stuff like that. We have to play people that are going to produce.
I'm just using this training camp as a base to build up my strength, ... We've got a good month until the season starts. We're not in a rush. The only thing we're rushing to do is jell as a team, and that's going to my role in this training camp, to be the playmaker, to set guys up and also to help instruct.
I missed (playing). As for suspensions, I'll never get suspended again.
I just feel bad because maybe I rushed myself back a little bit too soon. It's been frustrating for me with my ankle and all that. I'm just not myself.
He's established himself as a guy to have that confidence to take that shot.
He's our go-to guy, especially down the stretch. We post him up a lot as well. It's going to be a tough challenge for us, but I think it's something that we're all up to.
I didn't realize how injured I was and how much rest my body needed throughout the summer,
But you live and you learn and that's the whole thing,
I'm definitely going to get back. I don't care if it's three games left, four games left, as long as I get back to my full capacity. I think it's in my best interest and my team's best interest that I get healthy and really let the ankle rest.
I Like Chris Paul a lot. He was one of my favorite players when I watched him at Wake Forest. I used to talk about him a lot. I like what he's doing with that team. I like the way he's running the (pick and roll) and adjusting to the whole NBA system. He's definitely, if he continues to work, is going to be a great guard, an All-Star in this league.
Caron came out with great energy and he was unstoppable tonight. We couldn't stop him down low. We didn't have an answer for him.
Derek Fisher and myself, we bring a lot to this team, as far as winning, ... When you want to win, when you experience winning streaks, you get upset when you lose. It feels bad. When you're accustomed to losing, then you really don't have any feelings towards it.
I tried not to push off too hard on it.
It's all a part of stepping up. It was great tonight that everybody pulled their weight. I always have the utmost confidence in my teammates.
