agents changes great left mind officially
There's nothing to report. He's officially retired. The way his agents left it, if he changes his mind on that, they will let us know. I'm not going to harass them. We have a great relationship.
preference prepared took
It took as long as it did for a reason, ... My preference was to stay, but I was prepared to go if I had to.
covered help hopefully position process time today
Hopefully the process that we covered today will help put us in better position to do so. But time will tell.
calmed defensive needs player treating
He needs to get it calmed down, and that's why he's not a defensive player right now. That's all I can say right now. I'm not out there. He's not in our hands. It's not our workout. We're not treating him.
invested
Hopefully, this is nothing, but we want to make sure. We have a lot invested in him.
deciding sign week
He didn't want to sign here and then in a week be traded. I think that was the deciding factor.
spring
He's going to have to go through Spring Training.
necessary time
He's got time to do what's necessary to get us where we need to be.
evaluate happy players
I'm happy to get our players back into the fold, so we can evaluate our team.
calmed defensive feels maybe needs player
He feels he can pinch-run right now and maybe hit. He just needs to get it calmed down, and that's why he's not a defensive player for them right now.
calmed feels needs
He feels good, he'll be ready, he's not worried. He just needs to get it calmed down.
considered courtesy decides roger time
We've always considered Roger a Yankee. If he decides to play, he'll give us the courtesy of an audience. We'll have to take a look at it when the time comes.
ball interest
We have interest in him if he is interested. The ball is in his court. If he has interest, we have interest back.
