returns stay
You stay with it. But at some point, you have to get returns for the opportunities they are given.
al couple decide fort guys hold players speed willing
You need to look at your lineup and decide how many guys you'll be willing to pinch-hit for in a game. You like to have speed on your bench, but in the AL you can have a more one-dimensional player, guys who can hold the fort and can play if one of your players is out for a couple of weeks.
best bit found game innings last
(Young) teetered a bit in the first, then found his step. He got better as the game went on. His best innings were his last two.
average five shake spots swayed teams trying
You probably average about five spots that teams are trying to shake out, where you can be swayed one way or another.
adam few pitches
Adam pitched well all considered. He just let a few pitches get away.
quite relief taken
Not yet, ... We'll see. He has taken to the long relief part of it quite well.
candidate good guy leave
Comparatively speaking, he's as good a candidate as we have. He's a guy you could potentially put there and leave alone.
days eighteen hate innings pitching staff survive
As a team, you just try to survive them because you hate what it does to your pitching staff a lot of times. Eighteen innings in a day with no off days around it are tough.
great obviously pitcher ran top
The big thing was Curt Schilling, he was obviously on top of his game. We ran into a great pitcher today. It's disappointing.
bad exciting happened liked obviously people time took top won
The big thing was Curt Schilling, he was obviously on top of his game. It's disappointing. A lot of people took time out of their day to be out here, and we would have liked to have won the game. It was a pretty exciting day. Only one bad thing happened today, and that's that we lost.
certainly position produces strong top
That's what you want to see at the top of the lineup. Plus, the position is changing, especially in the American League, to one that produces runs. He certainly is a strong candidate.
hoping
This could be long-term, but it could be a three-week thing. I'm still hoping for the best.
concerned seem
They don't seem to be concerned about it that much.
good obviously seen
They had seen him before and that's what makes it even more impressive. They obviously had a good idea what he was going to try to do.
