I tried to hang in there for a little while. It catches up with you. One birdie on Sunday isn't going to do it.

I want to compete more in the majors and I haven't done that but I have got off to a good start this year.
guessing hardest keeping putting underneath
You've got to play a lot of different shots, keeping it down underneath the wind. A lot of times, the hardest part is putting in the wind, because that's a real big guessing game.

It's just nice to see the wind calm down a little bit so you can make a few birdies out there. It was a little bit easier today to hit the fairways and get it closer to the hole. Obviously, it was a good day. Anytime you shoot a 62 is a great day. It was nice -- me and David just kind of fed off each other all day. He played great and I was able to kind of follow in his footsteps.

I think that's key in this tournament. A lot of them, you knock it on in two...and I've been able to make birdie on most of them.

I was always a Nicklaus fan, so being able to watch him make that charge on the back nine was pretty awesome.

I was getting ready to go to No. 1, to be honest with you. You know, he makes so many of those, and it's just amazing. You always see it.

I didn't play my best, but I was able to suck it up and get the job done. It gives me a little momentum going into next week and the rest of the year.
figuring hardest hit nine tough wind winds
The hardest part was figuring out that wind on the back nine because it was all over the place. It was tough out there. The winds were swirling a little bit. It's tough to hit where you want with the wind blowing.

I think you've got to stay out of your own way. That's the worst thing that can happen to you if you start thinking about it or get going too fast. Just stay out of your own way and just let it happen. It's easy to say; it's hard to do.

Obviously you want to play well in the majors. I think that's what I've been working toward.

It has been a long day for four holes. I would have liked the day to have gone a little smoother but it didn't cooperate.

I'm where I want to be. I would have liked to have had things go a little smoother with the weather cooperating.
demanding tough walking
It's going to be tough walking around, but when you're in contention, you don't really think about that. It's not like we have to run. But mentally, it's tough. This is a very demanding course.
