energy everybody match played
He played very hard. We're going to need everybody to try to match the energy he's bringing.
agree beat best both chance common conference crop difficult easily except games lost number ourselves respect team three tournament train treat understand win
The common train of thought is that it's very difficult to beat a team three times in one year. I would agree with that, except in the conference tournament there's a number of these things that crop up. I think the way we go into it to give ourselves the best chance to win is to understand that we easily could have lost both games to them and that because of that, we need to treat them with the respect that they deserve.
ball difficult handle took
They took us out of everything. They make it difficult for you to handle the ball on the perimeter.
active best both ends game nice played
This is the best game he's played in college. He was very efficient, very active on both ends of court. He did a real nice job.
open passed shoot shots struggling sure
I think right now he's struggling with his confidence. I think he passed up open shots so he's really not sure right now when to shoot and when not to shoot.
anyone bunch guys step
I think what we need to have is have a bunch of the other guys step up. We've had different guys on different nights, but we haven't had anyone step up consistently.
dying living looks open
I don't think were living and dying by the 3-point shot, but if they're guarding us the way they are we're going to have some open looks and try and take advantage.
college consistency disjointed easy
We've been disjointed all year. We've had injuries, suspensions, and it's not an easy thing in college basketball, or anywhere, to not have consistency - and we really haven't had that.
entire guys lead overall played
We didn't let their other guys get going at all. Overall I thought that we had a comfortable lead the entire game, and that's because of the way our guys played on defense.
missing quick shots today transition
We were able to get out in transition and get some quick baskets. I have always said missing shots can be contagious, but today making them was contagious.
boards control dominated game held hope inside team
We're an inside-oriented team right now, so I think if we don't control the inside the way that I hope we would, then I think were going to have trouble. I think we've at least held our own with them on the boards in the first two games. The first game we actually dominated them on the boards.
bit gradually rhythm struggling
You have to just gradually get your rhythm back when you're struggling a bit as he has been.
came close energy entire running time uphill
We didn't play with a lot of energy in the first half. We were running uphill the entire game, and every time we came close we made a mistake.
basketball division guys hoped minute played poise possession three type
We started three guys who haven't played a minute of Division I basketball in this type of environment, and I thought they showed a lot of poise right from the beginning. I thought we competed on every possession right to the end of the game, which was what we had hoped we would do.
