boards control dominated game held hope inside team
We're an inside-oriented team right now, so I think if we don't control the inside the way that I hope we would, then I think were going to have trouble. I think we've at least held our own with them on the boards in the first two games. The first game we actually dominated them on the boards.
beat both easily lost mean twice
Just because we beat them twice doesn't mean anything. We could've easily lost both games.
category certainly falls foul games guy plays shame
This certainly falls into the category of games where we really gutted it out. We made way more plays than they did and it would have been a real shame if we had another guy foul out and lost.
feels good hard lately monkey played
I think it feels very good to get the win. We've played very hard lately but we haven't been able to get results. We were able to get the monkey off our back.
conference difference fifth finishing next road second win
I don't think finishing second or fifth is going to make a difference once you get to the conference tournament. In this league, everyone's the same. This was a road game. We didn't play well, but we can go out and win the next one.
six team
That was one of the softest performances by a BU team in six years - in every way.
couple critical defense defensive error guard guy hits leave margin playing second
I think the defense is playing hard. But still, our margin for error is not that great. There are still defensive breakdowns. In the second half, we don't guard a couple of screens, leave a guy and he hits a 3 at a critical time.
asleep fall good plays point position spot tough work
I think you have to work on him in every possession. The kid's a tough player, he's a good player. If you put yourself in a position that you fall asleep on him at any point during the game, you're going to put him in a spot that he can make plays -- and he's good at making plays.
ended guys played scramble strange
You've got to give the guys who played a lot of credit. We ended up having to scramble and play some of those other guys at strange positions.
fell game last strange
The last game was a real strange game. We were up big early, they got back in it, we were up right before the half, we fell asleep, we got down, they get right back. We want to get back on the right track, get back to .500 in the league.
biggest deserves freshman guy improvement senior year
I think Gardner has made the biggest freshman to senior year improvement of any guy we've had. I think he deserves a lot of credit.
second
I started him in the second half, that's how it works. If you produce, you play.
continuing deserve environment hard hostile mean road trying
I think for these kids, continuing to try to play hard - I mean they're on the road in a hostile environment still trying to win, they really deserve a lot of credit.
everybody finished forward game good last looking losing primarily program three wanting year
I think everybody around our program is going into this game with a good feeling, primarily because of the way we finished the season. Last year, we went into it losing two out of three and kind of scuffling, and this year were going in with everyone anxious, looking forward to it, wanting to get to the semis.
